Every season Pine Acres Family Camping Resort chooses a charity to raise funds for throughout the camping season. In the past this family-owned campground has chosen to support local causes as well as charities chosen by their campers or employees.
This season as Pine Acres celebrates 65 years of family camping, we are proud to announce that we are again working with the Karen Wellington Foundation. This year the choice is not your typical fundraiser, it was chosen in memory and honor of Tessa (Packard) Wisnewski, who passed away in December 2019 after fighting a courageous battle with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. Tessa was a wife, daughter, granddaughter, and sister of the Packard Family, owners and operators of Pine Acres.
Previously in 2020 the Karen Wellington Foundation was the recipient of just over $25,000 raised by our campers, staff, and business partners. This foundation focuses on fun for women going through breast cancer treatments. Recipients are gifted experiences like trips, concerts, and spa days.
