O-hi! Coffee Conversations

Mark your calendars and grab your favorite morning beverage for OHI’s “O-hi! Coffee Conversations”—a virtual networking space for Outdoor Hospitality Industry professionals. We know your days are busy and networking can easily take a back-burner. But your morning brew can’t, so we paired the two.
No matter where you are in your journey (or your day), these short and sweet 30-minute bi-weekly networking meetings provide the perfect opportunity for you to grow your community.
O-hi! Coffee Conversations will be back brewing biweekly starting Jan. 8, 2025. No topics, no speakers—just fellow industry professionals coming together to start their day growing.

Our Community Guidelines

This public group is intended to serve as an opportunity for industry professionals to meet regularly to network, get advice, share experiences and best practices, and have conversations about industry hot topics.

Participation

Participation is strictly voluntary. The group is currently being moderated by OHI staff but in future may be moderated by a group of informal volunteer organizations/moderators.

Etiquette and Guidelines
By participating in the O-hi! Coffee Conversations Community, you agree to follow the below guidelines:

  • Come to add to the conversation – not to detract – which means that conversation should remain positive and focused on improving the profession/industry and supporting each other.
  • Give space for others’ opinions and experiences, understanding that our diversity of thought is what enriches our conversation. Ask questions instead of expressing judgment.
  • Be polite, considerate and respectful in both verbal and written communications so that all participants feel welcome and comfortable to attend and share.
  • Keep discussions of politics and religion within the confines of professional discussions (for example, how legislation affects one’s work/profession). Expressions of personally-held beliefs have the potential to interfere with the goals of the coffee conversations community.
  • While industry partners and consultants may participate, this is strictly a “no solicitation” zone. Activities including but not limited to advertising products, services or petitions; requesting follow-up sales calls; or using participant information (‘doxing’) as leads is strictly prohibited.
  • Refrain from using insulting, harassing, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, indecent, profane or other offensive language. There is a zero-tolerance policy for this behavior.
  • Understand that all rules pertain to both verbal and written communications, including private messages, during coffee conversation calls.
  • Agree not to hold coffee conversation volunteers/moderators liable for any special, indirect, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever arriving out of or in connection with coffee conversation calls or forums, including but not limited to removal from the group or lack of acceptance for admittance.

Failure to abide by the above guidelines may result in action by the moderators that includes a request to stop unacceptable behavior, a suspension or probationary period, or removal from the group. Moderators can be reached at Ohi-membership@ohi.org.
