OHI has joined forces with the Merchant Payments Coalition in DC to advocate on Capitol Hill for the Credit Card Competition Act, legislation that will provide competition in the credit card swipe fees marketplace and ultimately save small businesses like RV parks and campgrounds thousands of dollars each year.
The OHI Government Affairs Team will be participating in a DC “Fly-In” on February 2-5, 2025, to specifically meet with U.S. Senators about how credit card fees are impacting the Outdoor Hospitality Industry. We will be participating in these meetings alongside other small businesses that are part of the Merchants Payments Coalition, our partners in advocating for the passage of the Credit Card Competition Act. We are looking for one outdoor hospitality business owner and/or operator from each state who is interested both in telling their story of how credit card fees are impacting their business and advocating for the larger outdoor hospitality industry.
