BFD provides two main types of financing, depending on your needs:
- For Existing Parks Looking to Improve & Expand:
-BFD offers equipment financing, similar to an auto loan, where the collateral is the equipment itself. This works well for financing park model cabins, glamping structures, or any other campground improvements.
-Additionally, BFD has an SBA loan program that provides up to $500,000 with no additional collateral required beyond the financed equipment. This loan has a 10-year term with no prepayment penalty. It takes longer to process than equipment leasing, but it comes with better terms.
-Equipment leasing can go into the millions, whereas SBA loans max out at $500,000. Your choice depends on your timeline and financing needs. - For Purchasing or Expanding a Campground Significantly:
-BFD works with about 30 different national SBA and USDA lenders.
-The SBA 7(a) Loan offers up to $5 million and can be used for almost anything—construction, franchise fees, working capital, and equipment.
-The SBA 504 Loan goes up to $10 million and is ideal for real estate purchases.
-USDA loans can provide up to $25 million and are excellent for real estate improvements and construction.
