background imgae

For all the most important moments impacting the Outdoor Hospitality Industry.

In late September Hurricane Helene, a catastrophic Category 4 hurricane, tore through the Gulf Coast of Florida before sweeping north through Georgia, devastating the Blue Ridge Mountains, and through western North Carolina where entire towns were destroyed with water and fuel supplies being severely disrupted.

Communities have been left in crisis as infrastructure was washed out and millions were left without power or access to Wi-Fi or cell service to reach loved ones and contact emergency services. Rescue operations are still ongoing, with officials working tirelessly to find survivors and restore vital services.

Many RV park and campground owners have faced major destruction in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In a few cases, deaths have occurred and parks have been completely washed off the map. The OHI Foundation is urgently asking for your support through a donation to support these parks. 100% of your donations go directly to park owners affected by natural disasters, and every dollar makes a difference.
Many OHI members have offered assistance to the RV park and campground owners and operators affected by Hurricane Helen. If you’d like to share your willingness to assist those in need with shelter and other needs, join our Facebook group, Campfire Voices, and leave a comment on the pinned post.

If you wish to help monetarily, the OHI Foundation is working hard to raise $200,000 to support at least 15 parks with grants for Disaster Relief. 100% of funds donated will be distributed directly to campgrounds requesting assistance.

Scholarships to keep you growing

Through generous donations from our members and colleagues, the OHI Foundation awards scholarships for professional development opportunities such as the annual Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) and the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality.
