We’re always looking to celebrate our members, and one of the best ways is through our awards program, the Awards of Excellence.
As the Outdoor Hospitality Industry continues to evolve and thrive, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements is necessary. At OHI, we understand the importance of honoring exceptional individuals, organizations, and parks that have elevated the standards of outdoor hospitality.
The OHI Awards of Excellence serve as a platform to acknowledge and appreciate the exemplary efforts of individuals, businesses, and parks within the outdoor hospitality community. These awards encompass various categories, recognizing excellence in areas such as campground operations, customer service, marketing, innovation, environmental stewardship, and community involvement. By honoring exceptional achievements, the OHI Awards of Excellence inspire the community to strive for greatness and continuously raise the bar in the industry.
Park of the Year
(Small, Medium, Large, and Mega Park) Recognizing outstanding OHI member parks within each size category.
Supplier of the Year
Awarded to an OHI Supplier that has consistently provided exceptional products or services to the Outdoor Hospitality Industry.
Plan-It Green Friendly Park of the Year
Honoring two parks (size-based categories) that have shown exemplary commitment to environmental sustainability and green initiatives.
Campground Partner of the Year
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated a personal commitment to their professional development and their business through the use of OHI programs.
State Directory of the Year Award
Awarded to states with exemplary directories concerning ease of use, design, technology, consumer resources and distribution.
State Leadership Award
Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated a commitment to their professional growth and contributed significant time and talent to their state association and OHI.
Unity Through Generosity Award
This award is presented to a person(s) or group that has had a dramatic effect on the Outdoor Hospitality Industry by generously sharing time, talents, or goodwill.
Park of the Year
(Small, Medium, Large, and Mega Park) Recognizing outstanding OHI member parks within each size category.

Parks that have won an OHI Park of the Year Award (Small, Medium, Large and Mega) in the past two years (2022 or 2023) in a category are ineligible to win another award in that same category in 2024. Representatives of these parks will serve as judges for their respective category group.
Plan-it Green Friendly Park Award
Parks that have won a Plan-It Green Friendly Park of the Year in 2021 or 2022 are eligible to nominate for that award again and eligible to win a Park of the Year Award.

Nov 6: Awards of Excellence Winners revealed at OHCE
There is no cost to enter the OHI Awards of Excellence.
Nominees must be current, active members of OHI that have been in business for at least one year. There is no cost to enter, and it’s perfectly acceptable (and encouraged) to nominate your own park.
Awards of Excellence winners will be announced at OHCE2024 in Oklahoma City, OK.
NEW ELIGIBILITY RULES
Parks that have won an OHI Park of the Year Award (Small, Medium, Large and Mega) in the past two years (2022 or 2023) in a category are ineligible to win another award in that same category in 2024. Representatives of these parks will serve as judges for their respective category group. Parks that have won a Plan-It Green Friendly Park of the Year in 2022 or 2023 are eligible to nominate for that award again and eligible to win a Park of the Year Award.
